Lavender

Lavender in 1951 - 1973 was a code among the queer community in sodor (mostly men).

You placed it somewhere on your person (typically shirt or coat) if you where queer looking for ally’s.

This was especially important in the pre-war era. Due to how subtle lavender looks, you only noticed if you were looking for it.

Note that this was not meant for dating. More to find people like yourself in what was a cruel world.

This was so widely used in LGBT spaces that "are you a lavender person?" Was used as a way on asking if someone was queer

On the railways there was a slight difference to this code.

In the lapel loop: Your open to activism, both subtle and open.

In the breast pocket: Your open to more subtle activism, but you just want allies.
